How to Speed Up Firefox on Mac OSX

Do you love Firefox, but are tired of how slow it runs on your Mac?  I’ve had the same problem for a long time and took some time tonight to research this problem and find a solution to speed up browsing page load times, etc.

The easiest solution is to quit using Firefox altogether and switch to another browser like Google Chrome.

Ok, but seriously, check out this video tutorial below with some tips on how to speed things up a bit. Here are the commands:

In your Firefox browser address bar first type about:config

Then find network.http.pipelining and set the value to true

Next find network.http.proxy.pipelining and set that value to true as well

Also find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set that value to 30.

Finally right click and select “New” and then “integer”. Set the preference name to “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and give it a value of 0. Here is a walkthrough video below:
