Well, it looks like the Mayans may have been off on their doomsday prediction as Asteroid 2005 YU55 is going to come pretty close to Earth.  How close?  According to scientists, it will be closer than the distance from Earth to the Moon or about 201,000 miles away on Tuesday, November 8th at around 6:28 p.m. Eastern Time.  If you have a telescope, you might be able to see the Asteroid 2005 YU55 flyby.

Is this an alien invasion?  Or will the government use it as an excuse to drop a nuke somewhere?  I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
